Child Labor
Child labor was when children worked for factories. Cloth factories, coal factories and steel factories. Many children died from fires, diseases and lost fingers.
If I was one of the kids then I would feel horrible. Losing fingers would not be good. Basically a lot of kids died by fire and jumping out the windows.

Battle of Long Island
Battle of Long Island was on Tuesday Aug 27,1776. It was in Long Island, New York.
The commanders of the British army were Lord Charles Cornwallis, Sir Henry Clinton, and Sir William Howe. The commanders of the Continental army were George Washington, Israel Putnam, and William Alexander. There were many casualties in this battle. The British had 20,000 soldiers, 64 killed, 293 wounded, and 31 captured. The Continental army had 10,000 soldiers, 300 killed, 800 wounded, and 1079 captured. This was the first major battle fought in the American Revolutionary War. The British won this fight and it gave them control of the City of New York. This was a big win in this war. This was the largest battle fought in this war due to the number of soldiers. The battle started with George Washington going to Manhattan Island and setting up defences. Then the British army commander Sir William Howe set up on Staten Island and waited for the back up of more soldiers and this is one of the ways the British won this battle. They then attacked one spot and then sent soldiers to come up from behind and attack.
